The high point of Brett Sellwood’s life is Music and always has been. Whether it was Dr Dre, Daft Punk or Marilyn Manson. This interest saw Brett in a band for a couple of years, however it wasn’t untilhe purchased several rave and trance CDs that his interest in electronic music was sparked. When he found house… it was on.

By 2006 Brett was a young man with big aspirations. He bought himself a set of decks, moved to Sydney and engrossed himself in music while bunkering down in the big city.

Brett’s first DJing gig was with good friend and DJ partner Matt Hrynuik (Matt Nukewood) as part of the duo Nukewood DJs.It was dingy little club, with only 4 months experience behind the wheels of steel. That gig turned into a monthly residency called Excess and became one of Sydney’s biggest club nights.

From there Brett continued on the Sydney circuit with weekly gigs at Rouge, Yu and World Bar. He was also called back to the Sunshine state regularly for gigs at clubs that included The Met and Kink. Once heading back to the Gold coast permanently he scored residences at Platinum and Baja.

In 2009 Brett became part of the Never Land team, starting with his own branded night on thursdays which lead to becoming one of there weekly residents. That lead to brett joining the festival circuit playing gigs at Parklife, That Festival and Trip Kicks.

Brett now has resides at gold coasts most infamous club Elsewhere and LaLa Land in Byron Bay.

Brett’s energies behind the decks see’s him jump from genre to genre. But if he had a funky colourful wheel spinning in front of him he would probably pick a combination of house, indie electro with a touch of hip hop. His style is fairly unique with mash ups and bootlegs littering his collection. His collaboration ‘ Colombian Jungle’ sees Brett focusing on the moombahton / jump up genre with upcoming releases and remixes.

He has supported the likes of Sidney Samson, Bloc Party, Peaches, PNAU, Sander Klienenberg, Bag Raiders, Miami Horror, Bang Gang, D Cup, T Rek, Kid Kenobi, HookNsling, John Course, Tonite Only, Raye Antonelli and Surecut Kids.

After years in the making here at last is Illumination, the fully realised debut album from Melbourne’s favourite psychedelic indie-electronic adventurers Miami Horror. With Illumination, Miami Horror has delivered on two years of teeth-cutting live shows and an ever escalating wave of buzz that’s made the group bonafide blog darlings the world over. But what’s most amazing about the grand arrival of Illumination is that the roots of the record stretch back countless moons to when Miami Horror began as just one synthesizer-obsessed producer huddled over a laptop in a bedroom-come-studio and the album itself just a spark waiting to be lit.

Joined by our very own Life is a DJ Timothy Lee, this show is set to put the mood right. Get down to Titanium Bar to watch it sizzle

Katie Karma and Miss Jaime… These talented ladies had already forged respective DJ careers of their own before meeting in the infamous Family DJ booth early in 2011. Miss Jaime – from a background of techno, minimal and deep house, and Katie; better known as Katie Karma – from a young love of all things breaks and electro. Together, the girls form Dj duo Katie K & Miss J.

With 6 years experience between them, the girls already have an impressive resume to boot. Katie had her first gig just 3 days after her 18th Birthday, celebrating her turning of age with a DJ set at the Empire hotel supporting breaks act NAPT. Since then, she has graced the decks of Family, Bowler Bar, the Met, Alloneword, GPO, Electric Playground, Barsoma, The Backroom (Byron Bay) and Ruby Tramp (Gold Coast) supporting internationals Martin Horger (Germany), Adsorb (UK), Soul of Man (UK), Freq Nasty (UK) and Hybrid (UK).

Miss Jaime has held residencies and guest spots at Electric Playgound, the Family, Barsoma, the Met, GPO, Bowler Bar, Birdees, Melbourne Hotel, the Emporium, Alloneword, Alhambra and Bimbo Deluxe (Melb). She has had the honour of supporting international acts such as Doctor P (UK), Danny Howells (UK), Kazu Kimura (Spain/Japan), Slam (UK), Eddie Halliwell (UK), Coyu (Spain), Martin Roth (UK) and Skool of Thought (UK).

Together, the girls have also supported international and local acts including Hot Pink Delorean/Terravita, Maya Vanya, Anna Lunoe, Bad Ezzy, Sangers & Ra and Citizen.com, just to name a few.

Since teaming up, the girls have been featured on blogs and radio shows such as Switch1197, Drive (Radio Metro), Dirtie Clouds Blog, G&T (gifted & talented) and were recently Radio Metro’s featured artists of the week.

Drawing from both girls’ musical backgrounds, their captivating and floor filling sets include fusions of tech house, disco, breaks, electro, dubstep and drum and bass, priding themselves on their versatility and ability to read a crowd.
